Bug Evolution how to evolve comes down to levelling up, saving coins and picking your next bug on the evolve screen in this Roblox survival game. Players start as a tiny spider, and the first choice shown is Grasshopper or Housefly. Not every bug has published requirements, so this page says plainly what is known. New to the game? Read the Bug Evolution beginner guide first.
Bug Evolution how to evolve: the steps
After the opening stages you choose your next bug. The evolve screen shows the stats of each option, so compare them before you pick. Requirements are tied to your level and to coins, so everything that earns XP and coins brings the next evolution closer. The Bug Evolution level up fast guide covers the quickest ways to do that.
Grasshopper or Housefly: the first choice
| Bug | Requirement | What is known |
|---|---|---|
| Grasshopper | Not shown yet | It is the other first option; its stats appear on the evolve screen. |
| Housefly | Level 12 and 200 coins | It can fly, which helps you escape danger. |
Stat numbers have not been published outside the game, so use the in-game screen to compare. If you tend to run from bigger players, the flying Housefly is the safer-sounding fit; if you prefer to stay on the ground, look at the Grasshopper stats. That is reasoning, not a tested result.
Tracking your next evolution
You can track an evolution from the menu, and it then shows as a quest. The quest tabs are Tracking, Quick quests and Hourly quests. Tracking shows the evolution you are working toward, which saves you checking the requirements again and again.
What happens after you evolve
You start growing again as the new bug and keep levelling. Dying does not reset your progress either. Keep picking a level-up choice each time, as covered in Bug Evolution upgrades.
Later bugs: Black Widow and more
A Black Widow quest appears in the Tracking tab, so Black Widow is a later form you can work toward. Its requirements were not shown. The game says more bugs are coming, and a full evolution tree has not been published. The Bug Evolution bugs hub lists the forms confirmed so far: Spider, Grasshopper, Housefly and Black Widow. Staying alive while you grind matters too, so see Bug Evolution PvP. For free coins toward the cost, check Bug Evolution codes and the Bug Evolution wiki.
